About

Why this exists

A small Swedish agency builds it, and runs pricing for the shops it works with. That is the whole company, and it is the reason the product asks before it acts.

Who it is for

A Shopify shop with somewhere between 20 and 2 000 products, where somebody already keeps half an eye on what a few competitors charge. You do not need to be technical. Nothing here asks you what a selector is.

How shops do this today

A spreadsheet that was accurate the week it was made. Somebody opening six tabs on a Monday. An agency that reports monthly, by which time the month has happened. Or nothing, and finding out from the margin at the end of the quarter. All four are real answers, and the last one is the most common.

What it does instead

It checks the pages you point it at once a day, works out what your rule says the price should be, and puts that in one email. You approve it or you do not. Turn it on fully and a change inside your limits goes in without you.

What we decided not to build

No wall of sparklines that looks like insight and produces no decision. Nothing that estimates — the engine knows published prices, not demand, and a projected revenue figure is a guess wearing a number's clothes. No coloured badge on every row of every table, shouting the same fact until none of it stands out.

Who is behind it

pricecheckr is the company, and the company is small. The same people who wrote the rules engine run pricing on it every morning for the shops that use it — the product has an operator's console because running it is part of the work, not something handed on once the software shipped. That is also why it asks before it acts: we are the ones who would have to explain a price nobody approved. When a read fails on your shop it is one of us who sees it, and [email protected] reaches the same people.

When in doubt, change nothing and tell someone.

See your own numbers first

We connect your shop, you pick two competitors, and our system handles the check. Then we show you what they charge for your items. Half an hour, and it costs nothing.
